Shipping & Delivery Policy

Welcome to H&L. We proudly provide event décor, event rentals, Haitian handmade products, catering, prepared food and specialty event services. This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how orders are processed, shipped, delivered and fulfilled.

General Order Processing

All eligible retail product orders are processed within 3–4 business days after payment is successfully received and order confirmation is issued.

Business days are Monday through Friday and exclude weekends, holidays and major closure periods.

Orders placed after business hours, on weekends or on holidays will begin processing on the next business day.

During high-volume periods, seasonal demand, custom production or special promotions, processing times may be extended. If significant delays occur, H&L will make reasonable efforts to notify customers.

Standard Shipping

Once processed, eligible shipped orders are generally delivered within 5–7 business days depending on destination, carrier operations, weather conditions and other circumstances outside our control.

Delivery estimates are not guaranteed and should be treated as approximate transit windows.

Shipping confirmation and tracking information will be provided when available.

Shipping Availability

H&L ships eligible retail merchandise to supported delivery locations within the United States. Certain oversized, fragile, specialty or event-related items may require local delivery, freight coordination or direct scheduling rather than standard parcel shipping.

At this time, some products or services may not be available for all geographic areas.

Retail Products & Haitian Handmade Products

Our retail collections include décor pieces, artisan goods and Haitian handmade products.

Fulfillment Timeline

  • Processing time: 3–4 business days

  • Estimated delivery: 5–7 business days after shipment

Handmade Product Notice

Because many handmade products are artisan-crafted, slight natural variations in texture, color, finish, dimensions or appearance may occur. These characteristics are part of the handmade nature of the product and are not considered defects.

Split Shipments

Where necessary, H&L may ship items separately depending on inventory availability, packaging requirements or product category.

Catering & Prepared Food Delivery Policy

Prepared food, catering orders and culinary services are fulfilled based on scheduled delivery windows or event service agreements.

Scheduled Delivery

Food and catering orders are prepared according to the delivery date, service window or event time selected at booking.

Delivery timing is coordinated based on:

  • menu requirements

  • preparation complexity

  • staffing logistics

  • delivery distance

  • event schedule

Delivery Window

Because food preparation is time-sensitive and service-based, delivery times are scheduled within agreed delivery windows rather than standard parcel transit.

H&L will make commercially reasonable efforts to deliver within the scheduled service window.

Delivery Conditions

Customers are responsible for ensuring:

  • accurate delivery address

  • correct recipient contact information

  • clear delivery access

  • someone available to receive the order when applicable

H&L is not responsible for delays caused by restricted access, inaccurate delivery information, unavailable recipients, venue restrictions, weather disruptions, traffic conditions or circumstances beyond reasonable operational control.

Food Safety

For quality and food safety reasons, once food has been delivered, transferred or served, responsibility for proper handling, storage and consumption transfers to the client.

Event Rentals Delivery Policy

Rental items are fulfilled according to the confirmed event date, venue schedule and service agreement.

Scheduled Delivery & Pickup

Rental inventory is delivered and picked up according to pre-arranged logistics based on:

  • event date

  • venue access

  • installation timing

  • pickup scheduling

  • staffing availability

Delivery Timing

Delivery times may be scheduled within designated arrival windows rather than exact timestamps unless specifically stated in writing.

Clients must ensure venue access and authorized acceptance during the scheduled window.

Rental Inventory Responsibility

Responsibility for rental inventory transfers at delivery, client pickup or setup completion and continues until inspection at return or pickup by H&L.

Additional charges may apply for delayed returns, inaccessible pickup conditions, missing items, excessive cleaning or damage.

Setup & Decoration Services

H&L provides delivery, setup, installation and styling services for selected event décor and design packages.

Setup Scheduling

Setup times are coordinated based on:

  • event start time

  • venue access

  • design complexity

  • installation requirements

  • event production schedule

Clients must provide accurate venue access details, loading instructions, parking information and setup permissions when applicable.

Venue Delays

H&L is not responsible for delays caused by:

  • venue restrictions

  • delayed venue access

  • limited loading access

  • unavailable site representatives

  • force majeure events

Completion

Once setup is completed and accepted at the venue, delivery and installation obligations are considered fulfilled unless otherwise stated in a written agreement.

Decorative Item Sales

Decorative products sold as retail merchandise are treated as product purchases rather than rental inventory unless clearly stated otherwise.

Shipping Timeline

Decorative item sale orders generally follow standard retail shipping timelines:

  • ships within 3–4 business days

  • delivered within 5–7 business days

Oversized, fragile, specialty or local-delivery-only items may require direct delivery scheduling.

Delivery Address Accuracy

Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery information.

H&L is not responsible for delays, failed delivery attempts, additional charges or losses resulting from inaccurate addresses, incomplete contact information or incorrect delivery instructions.

Shipping Delays Beyond Our Control

While we work to fulfill all orders promptly, delivery timing may be affected by circumstances outside our control, including:

  • severe weather

  • transportation interruptions

  • carrier delays

  • holidays

  • venue restrictions

  • supply chain disruptions

  • local operational limitations
